5 Seconds of Summer’s ‘Youngblood’ Hits Number 1 On US Radio

Congratulations are in order for our favorite Australian boyband!

Over the weekend, it was announced that 5 Seconds Of Summer hit a total career milestone by reaching number one on the Billboard Pop Songs radio airplay chart with their hit single, “Youngblood,” and we couldn’t be more proud!

The four boys – Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Luke Hemmings – along with friend and photographer of the band, Andy DeLuca, posted a photos along with heartfelt captions to celebrate the success of their first-ever number one song on US radio. Check out their posts:

I have absolutely 0 words to explain how surreal it is to witness with my own eyes a real band climbing all the way to the top and reach #1 on US Radio. @5sos is #1 on US Radio right now. A real band. Real, hard-working humans with real instruments playing real music and putting on a real live show every single night. The world needed this. There is no doubt they deserve this position. Congrats gentlemen. I’m glad to know you and glad you chose me out of everyone in the world to be the one to document this history-in-the-making chapter of your lives. Also huge shoutout to everyone else on the team behind the scenes that I work so closely with. And shoutout to a very supportive and probably the most passionate fan base that exists in the world right now. Not a small deal. #5sos
